New Delhi: Maharashtra will witness the resumption of traditional monthly racing sports, popular as ‘Bailgada Sharyat’, ‘Chakkadi’ and ‘Shankar Line’, because the Supreme Court on Wednesday said these traditional events must be allowed as Maharashtra, such as Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, It has passed this release of this from the deft of the prevention of cruelty towards the animal law.

Tamil Nadu led and issued an amendment to the PCA Act on January 23, 2017 which released Jallikatu (bull-taming sports).
Less than a month later, the Karnataka Majelis followed him and passed a similar amendment on February 13, 2017 which released the ‘Kambala’ (Traditional Buffalo Racing) and Bullock Cart Racing Sports from Ambit Act PCA.
