Ambala: Three police officers, including the Exemptee Sub-Inspector (ESI) and two heads (HCS) were suspended by the Ambala supervisor of the police (SP) on Tuesday which was allegedly because of their negligence in cleaning passport applications made based on fake documents of police verification, with COP Top District added that the current style will verify any passport issued in 2021.
Police said police suspended, ESI Balwan Singh and HCS Singh and Dalwinder Singh were posted under the Ambala City Police Station.

Ambala SP has also ordered an investigation into the department of five policemen in this case related to a fake passport.
Ambala SP Jashandeep Singh Randhawa said on Tuesday, “according to the procedure to issue a passport, the police verification was carried out by our department to examine the Petitioner’s criminal record.
We have found one case, where the defendant tries to get a basic passport of evidence and a fake residence document.
It is up to the investigation officer concerned (IO) that the verification of the police does not physically visit the address as mandatory in the procedure.
