Mumbai: The placement season in this year’s IITS can break the record of more than one reason.
The number of offers in many of these initial institutions crosses 1,000 marks in five to six days.
In some IIT, around 50 students have an offer of Rs 1 Crore-Plus not only for international roles but also for national – trends to pay attention to the first time this year.
While the highest cost-to-company (CTC) for international offers stands at Rs 2.1 Crore, that for domestic work is Rs 1.8 Crore.
At the end of six days, 1,200 students in Iit Bombay have received offers from 240 companies.
Qualcomm semiconductor firm made 40 offers at the Institute this year for the domestic role.
Uber remains the highest payer in most IITS with a 2.2 crore RS package.
So far, IIT Kanpur has attracted major recruiters such as Axtria, Exl, Graviton, Goldman Sachs, Icici Bank, Intel, Microsoft, Ola, Rubric, Samsung, Quadeye, Analytics.
In Iit-Kanpur, 49 students have received RS 1 Crore-Plus offer so far – the majority for the domestic role.
The Institute recorded almost 60% of the leap in the offer compared to those made in the first pandemic year to date.
The international role also increased from 19 to 47.
About 60 IIT Delhi students, who also crossed 1,000 marks in less than a week, reportedly pocketed RS 1 CrorePlus offering for national and international roles.
Placement is not only better than the 2020 pandemic year, but also the year before that.
The domestic package crosses the sign of RS 1 Crore this year.
This year’s placement is a fast affair, said Iit Roorkee’s placement of Vinay Sharma’s head.
“What takes 45 days ago was achieved in 84 hours,” he told Toi.
