Rajkot: The second phase of the Ring Road-2 of Kalavad Road to Gondal Road will be inaugurated on Sunday, giving a great break from the ringing of frustrating traffic.
This two-lane 11.2 km road with three waves has been built at a cost of Rs 26 Crore.
The Chairman of Minister Vijay Rupani will dedicate this path virtually on Sunday.
This road will ease the traffic burden on the 150-foot ring road where traffic congestion is the order of the day during rush hour morning and night.
The second part will be useful for traffic from Gondal and towards Jamangar, Morbi and Kutch.
In addition, the daily traffic of the Shapar-Veraval industrial area and GIDC methods will be transferred on this road.
Overbridge is being built at a gondal intersection that will be useful in diverting traffic at this intersection.
Phase 1 of Jamnagar Road to Kalavad Road was completed in 2016 and this area recently joined Rajkot Municipal Corporation.
The other two phases of this road are expected to be completed within one year.
