Patna: Security has been tightened in the city, especially in and around Gandhi Maidan where the Republican Day function will be held on January 26 amid covid restrictions.
The final dress training will be held on Monday in front of the Commissioner of the Patna Kumar Ravi division and other senior officials.
Patna traffic police on Sunday issued traffic advisors to ensure safe and smooth vehicle movements during the R-Day function.
Traffic will be limited to several routes in the city during their functions, especially near Gandhi Maidan, from 7am on Wednesday until the main function is complete.
The main function will begin at 9am with a flag at Gandhi Maidan.
According to the traffic plan, no vehicle to be allowed on the west side of the Fraser Road from the Bundaran DAK Bungalow to the children’s park near Gandhi Maidan, because it will be reserved for the governor’s movement, minister’s head and other Vvips.
Likewise, the entry of vehicles from Patna Junction Flyover to Ramgoolam Chowk near Gandhi Maidan and New DAK Bungalow Road towards Sp VERMA Road will be banned.
All routes tied east from the ‘T-Point’ police station to the police line will remain closed for ordinary people to the end of the program.
Vehicles that lead to the North Voltas MOR near the planetarium will be permitted only to tri-intersections near the police line through Budh Marg.
Private vehicles come towards Gandhi Maidan from Ashok Rajpath or Bari Path, can leave Ramgoolam Chowk to the South Exhibition Road from the outside of the road.
The vehicle went from the Tiraha police line to the east PMCH can use Ashok Rajpath from the outside / north side of Gandhi Maidan.
No vehicle traffic was permitted from Dishratna Marg to the Bundaran DAK Bungalow and from the Bundaran DAK Bungalow to the JP Roundabout from 7am to the end of the function in Gandhi Maidan.
The movement of heavy vehicles or commercial will not be allowed to go to the BDH Marg from Mithapur Rob, Goria Toli from Chiraiyantand Durga Temple, R-block to tax income and from Dumra Chowki to Bhattacharya Chowk.
Private vehicles will be allowed to move from Patna Junction to DAK Bungalow Roundabout, Bhattacharya Road, Pirmuhani and Nala Road.
Meanwhile, the entrance gate for vehicles has been allocated according to the color of the card to officials invited in the function.
Vehicles can be parked in designated places based on invitation cards.
The main guests will be allowed to enter Gandhi Maidan from the gate number 1.
