Ponda: While the leadership of BJP was struggling against the rebellion in several constituencies, one development on Thursday has canceled the party in Ponda.
On Thursday, a BJP senior official from Ponda Sandeep Khandeparkar who had aspired to party tickets, submitted a nomination, creating a flutter in the BJP camp.
Former Chairman of the Minister Ravi rose, which has been declared as a BJP candidate, has submitted his nomination letter.
This was the first time he was fighting with BJP tickets from Ponda, a constituency that had learned several times in the past.
Khandeparkar is a senior party member and has a good relationship with voters in Khandeli Village.
Khandlepar was previously considered a fortress rising, but there was a dispute when the village was taken under the Ponda Planning Development Authority (PDA).
Khandeparkar said the party had made injustice to him.
“I am a party candidate who aspires since the last two general elections, but the party forces me to compromise twice.
In 2012, the party was tied with MGP and asked me to wait for the next election because they had to ensure the victory of the candidate alliance,” he said.
“Then in 2017, the party ticket was offered to Sunil Desai and I was told to wait for the next election (2022), but they looked at Ravi up and offered a ticket to him,” he said.
BJP Ponda Block President Vishwanath Dalvi hopes Khandeparkar will quit the commotion.
