Panaji: Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena, which currently has a government coalition in Maharashtra, tends to discuss and resolve the pre-poll alliance for Goa for the next two days, ahead of the selection of assembly scheduled for February 14.
These sources fighter Patel Patel and Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut are likely to arrive in Goa to participate in the discussion.
Several rounds of talks have been held between three party officials, said the source, but this is not convincing.
The talks reported did not go further because of uncertainty over the candidate for Dabolim’s seat.
While the State President of NCP Jose Philip D’Souza has begun campaigning in constituencies, Congress has announced the name of the former Navy Captain and ViriTo Fernandes Cargil War Veteran as his candidate.
