KALABURAGI: When Master Kannada Shrinivas Rao Kulkarni left Lingampalli Village Middle School on Thursday, she sounded by the students and staff members.
It was his last day at this school.
Kulkarni has been transferred to another school.
Dressed in shirts and trousers and with a small bag on his shoulder, Kulkarni stood wiping her tears while the children milling around and cry.
Some staff members embraced him and touched his feet though Kulkarni tried to stop them doing so.
A group of students also touched his feet.
Kulkarni raised his hands were not sure as if blessing the children.
He has taught at the school, in Sedam Taluk in the district Kalaburagi, for eight years.
He was quite clear favorite school teacher.
After the video to its sender, which records the reaction of students and colleagues Kulkarni, become viral, TOI contacted the 52-year-old teacher.
Kulkarni said he does not see himself as a teacher kannada.
He has tried to teach his students how to become good citizens.
“We are not here just to teach the subject.
We are here to build a good country to give a good citizen to the nation,” the teacher said.
He said in high school, he also had a good teacher, Mahalingappa Pujari, who taught only do good things.
Kulkarni was just trying to advance the work of the teacher.
He says he always tries to help colleagues with advice whenever they are in trouble.
He often told his students to do at least one good deed every day that will make them feel proud.
Anitha Bhimappa, a class X student, said that Kulkarni Sir support “always in the study also in school activities.
He used to encourage us to give a speech on special days such as the Day of Independence Day and Republic.” Headmaster Tatherao Shindhe indicate that the relationship Kulkarni with school will continue.
“His participation will be there in school activities along with a team of students,” he said.
The school has 105 students in classes VIII, IX and X.
Kulkarni has been moved to a secondary school in Kota Sedam.
