Chikkamagaluru: Seven people were arrested by police Chikkamagaluru about the allegations of attacking the DV Girish environment in Shantaveri.
Chikkamagaluru’s download from police Akshay MH said that the suspects fled Shantaveri as soon as Girish filed a complaint at the Chikkamagaluru rural police station.
“We formed three teams to track attackers.
The police searched for them in the Chikkamagaluru District, Kodagu and Ballari, and seven young people were arrested,” Akshay said.
Girish was attacked by young people in Camblihalli when he returned home on August 30.
The children were suspected of teasing Girish’s daughter, who was with him, and even tried to force him out of the vehicle.
When Girish and his friend intervened, the children attacked environmental lovers, police said.
