Mangaluru: S Angara, a newly appointed priest in the Bomavaraj Bommai cabinet, directed officials to take the steps needed to reduce the covid-19 test level in the Dakshina Kannada District.
He chaired a review of the reviews on Covid-19 assistance steps and rain at the office of the deputy commissioner here on Friday.
“Reach the Covid-19 testing target in each net and increase the number of tests if needed.
Don’t hold on to the target given to you, but try to surpass it.
More emphasis must be given to test and track contacts.

Officials must ensure that posting doctors, lab technicians and other necessary staff are filled, he said.
“Taking steps to check the spread of the virus and ensure the right treatment for infected is the main goal of the government.

Deputy Commissioner K V Rajendra said that the district government had received a round to distribute RS 1 Lakh Ex Gratia to their relatives who died of Covid-19.
“We have directed Tahsildar to prepare a list of beneficiaries that meet the requirements in this district,” DC said.
Discuss the situation of rain in Dakshina Kannada, the minister directed officials to fill holes on the road.
“The RS 10,000 Rain Relief announced by the government must be immediately handed over to the family,” said Minister.
DC said that 86 houses were completely damaged by rain in the district starting in April 1.
Meanwhile, 490 houses were partially damaged, he said, adding that the district had not reported plant losses.
