Pune: Deputy Minister of Chief Ajit Pawar on Friday said all shops, excluding medical stores and those who sell milk, food and vegetables, will remain close on Sunday at Pune and the Chinchwad Civic Pimpri limit for immersion Ganesh.
The closure of the store will apply to the company within the Cantonese Base too but not to the rural areas of Pune, he said.
Restaurants and hotels will remain open and closure will not affect those included in important services, the word pawar.
The decision to close the store on Sunday was taken by consultation with all selected representatives to ensure that there was no crowding on soaking days.
Guidelines were released previously to celebrate Ganeshotsav in a low way with some restrictions that apply in the middle of the ongoing pandemic.
Extra care is being taken for the city area to ensure the population follows the recommendations of the government has a muted celebration ahead of the third possible wave, said the district official said.
Commissioner of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad issued orders at night, stating that only important services would function on Sundays.
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) issued by Commissioner Vikram Kumar stated that all types of shops and malls will be closed on Sundays.
All hotels, restaurants and court food, except those in the mall, will remain open.
PMC message states that the direction will apply to the Pune Cantonment Board and Khadki Cantonment Board.
Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) message issued by his commissioner Rajesh Patil was on the same lane.
Both orders stated that the previous direction would be valid again from Monday.
After leading the Covid Weekly District Review meeting, Ajit Pawar said the situation seemed to be controlled at this time and the current relaxation would continue.
“If the situation is still controlled, we will take some important decisions after the review on October 2,” he told reporters, adding that sportsman training which was fully vaccinated for swimming would have access to the pool now.
