Bokaro: Although the State Health Department has directed all district governments to strengthen each of their Covid-19 medical infrastructure to overcome the possibility of the third wave, Bokaro General Hospital (BGH) here is not paying heed.
BGH, owned and operated by Bokaro Steel Limited (BSL), is a mainstay in the Battle of the District against Pandemi since March last year.

The 18-bed CCU unit has a scarcity of bedside monitors and other medical equipment while nine of the 13 ventilators are damaged.
BGH received all the ventilators earlier this year under the PM-Cares Fund.
From the monitor 13 bedside, only three are functional when CCU does not have an adequate doctor or medical staff.

“BGH has a ventilator in a department such as MIU and NICU, which can be moved to the CCU for the treatment of patients.
