The maker of two-wheeled vehicles based in Bengaluru, simple energy on Tuesday launched an enhanced motor for its flagship scooter, which is simple, which will be sent to customers from June and so on.
The company claims that it has received more than 30,000 pre-ordering for e-scooter to date.
The company has launched a previous ‘simple one’ e-scooter on August 15 last year, with a price of Rs 1.09 Lakh.
The company said that the new motor upgrade improved the performance of electric scooters further by offering better thermal efficiency and management.
The newly launched motorbike is an upgrade to a motorbike high specification that already produces 72 Nm of torque.
This is powered by a portable 4.8 kWh battery package and weighs at 7 kg while promising a real world range of 203 km in ECO mode and 236 km in ‘ideal’ conditions.
It takes claimed 2.75 hours to charge a fixed battery from 0 to 80 percent, with a house charger.
The company said that higher levels of vertical integration allow electric scooters to achieve a 96% increase efficiency, allowing users to enjoy working without worrying about reach.
The upgraded motorbike was developed at home from the bottom up and also patented.
The simple is powered by a 8.5 kw motorbike that places the max torque number claimed 72nm.
This motorbike provides a scooter that is claimed to be 0-40kph time of 2.85sec and the top speed is 105 kmpj.
Electric scooters have four riding modes – Eco, Ride, Dash and Sonic.
Simple is offered in four color options and equipped with smart features such as TFT touch screen instrument screens with navigation while traveling, bluetooth and 4G connectivity, geo-fence, update OTA, remote telemetry, TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system), 30 liters of space Boot, vehicle tracking, holiday mode and the system also gives you details about the location of the nearest fast charger.
Simple energy says that it aims to have a capacity of 12.5 million units every year – making it the largest two-wheel manufacturer in the world.
The company also said that there was an additional increase and surprise too, which will be announced in the coming weeks.
