New Delhi: The government on Wednesday launched “Krishi Udan 2.0” to facilitate the movement of agricultural products by air.
It will be implemented in 53 airports throughout the country mainly focusing on northeastern and tribal areas and it is likely to benefit farmers, freight forwarders and airlines.
The UNI flight ministry plans to drive a six-month scheme, and, will change it based on the actual experience of stakeholders.
The ministry said Krishi Udan 2.0 has been formulated with the support of AAICLAS – 100% of subsidiaries from the Indian Airport Authority (AAI) and investing India, the promotion and facilitation body of Indian national investment, under the Ministry of Trade Union.
It offers a full negleability of costs such as landing and parking for Indian Freighters and at the Chosen AAA Airport.
The Flying Minister for Union JM SCINTI said: “This scheme will open a new road growth for the agricultural sector and help achieve the goal of multiplying farmers by removing obstacles in the supply chain, logistics and transportation of agricultural products.
We want to take AnnData to the highest level, by adopting A2A models – Agriculture to flight.
The convergence between the two sectors is possible for three main reasons – the use of evolutionary biofuels for aircraft in the future, the use of drones in the agricultural sector, and because of the larger integration and the realization of agricultural product value through a scheme such as Krishi Udan.
“Transit Airside and Trans-Shipment Infrastructure will be made in Bagdogra, Guwahati, Leh, Srinagar, Nagpur, Nashik, Ranchi, and Raipur Airport.
Seven focus routes and agro products that will be flown from there have been identified.
These include: Amritsar-Dubai for Baby Corn; Darbhanga-Remaining India for Lichis; Sikkim-remaining India for organic results; Chennai, vizag and kolkata – far east for seafood; Agartala-Delhi and Dubai for pineapple; Dibrugarh to Delhi and Dubai for Mandarin and oranges; and Guwahati-Hong Kong for pulses, fruits and vegetables.
