Nagpur: Investigation of alleged involvement of several city-based traders in smuggling of sub-standard betel nuts or Areca nuts at the Indo-Myanmar border by the Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) seems to have taken back seats.
Although the CBI government into the Nexus trader with international smugglers studied to roll at routine speed, illegal activities seem to be continuing with regular momentum which leads to the health hazards caused by the quality of bad betel vomiting.
Wahyu ADDL DG, Law and Order, Nagaland, Sandeep Tamgadge highlighted the fact that trucks loaded with nuts or Areca nuts were often found towards Central India from the Indo-Mayanmar border.
“Interrogation of several truck drivers who were intercepted with annoying quality betel nuts that came from Myanmar showed their purpose in various locations in Central India, including Tamgadge where the supervision of Nagaland police had won 48.15 kg of gold worth Rs 22 Crore.
Tamgadge, who shared the success of the Nagaland police in cracking down on drugs, arms, and gold came from across the Myanmar border, said betel nut trucks were heading to Nagpur after crossing Bihar, Uttar Pradesh or Madhya Pradesh or took the West Bengal route, Odisha and Chhattisgarh entered India Middle.
The IPS officer stated that the beetel nut trader tended to have a well-oiled network in several countries to be able to cross it with illegal shipments and false documents.
“State police must be very sensitive about these trucks because someone will never know what else they will bring from the disturbed Myanmar where rebel groups sell weapons, ammunition and drugs to fund their soldiers and private governments, “He said.
Investigation, revolving around the avoidance of crores from the rupee of the evasion tax and assignment, submitted to the CBI by the Nagpur bench from the Bombay High Court.
After the court handed the probe to the CBI, revealing the Directorate of Income Intelligence (DRI), the agency has registered a violation in March earlier this year and conducted a search in four places towards the end of June.
Even the unknown excise and excise officials were also referred to as the defendant.
Advocate Renu Hospital, who represented Chimthanwala Mehboob in his pill on an immoral Sirih trader, said he intended to look for high court interventions to review the progress of the investigation by the CBI who did not seem to have great progress in this case.
