Letter: Sleuth Branch Crime arrested six gang lifting bags from Andhra Pradesh on Thursday.
The gang was involved in more than 35 violations of theft throughout the country, with the majority of them registered in the city of the letter.
Police suspect that there may be some other violations of the gang that might never be revealed.
The mode of the theft of the Gang Operandi is unlocking the scooter storage under the chair or breaking the car glass window using a slingshot.
About eight days ago, two registered theft incidents where RS 6 lakh was stolen from a scooter storage box in the city light area while Rs 27,000 was stolen from the car in Mota Varachha.
During the investigation, the DCB team arrested six people, all native residents of Nellore at Andhra Pradesh, because they committed a similar violation not only in letters but also in other Gujarat Regency and throughout the country.
During the primary interrogation, the defendant told the police that they came to the city about 20 days ago by train and bought three used motorbikes from the online vehicle resale portal.
After buying a bicycle, they went to Maharastra and stole a bag in Nanded and Aurangabad before returning to the letter to commit a similar crime.
The defendant was identified as Prakash Mekala (31), unemployed, Rajesh Mekala (29), a driver of the Autorickshaw, David aka Paul Bonala (24), daily bet, Ramesh aka Appu Thalla (25), unemployed, Raju Narboyna (30), a person Wireman, and Apparao Guddeti (47), other daily bets.
Previously, in 2017 also Prakash, David and Raju had visited a letter for committing the same violations in various regions in the city before leaving for Bharuch, Kosamba, Vapi, Bardoli, Valsad for more evil, police said.
