Vadodara: The money path of the Hawala fund sent to Gujarat from Dubai has led the police to the Pakistani border.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has tracked six mosques located right on the Indian-Pakistani border at Kutch District.
“Lakh Rupee from donations and even Hawala funds were transferred to the six mosques who also run madrasas.
The villages where these mosques were built very close to the Pakistani border.

Shamsher Singh City Police Commissioner confirmed that their team was investigating the role of these mosques at Kutch in connection with the hawala and religious conversion racquets.
“We are investigating this problem,” he said.

Mosques in Bhuj who are under the scanner include Mohammadi Mosque in Mota Dinara Village, Masjide Salim Akli, Bilal Masjide and Amin Masjide in Khavda Village, Aisha Masjide in Jakaaria Vaas and Masjide Aksha in Nakhatrana Village.
“We are investigating these mosque activities, their visitors and how they use funds.
Maybe they accept or send money illegally across the border too.
The mosques are very close to the Pakistani border getting big funds with donations and hawala money itself shows something suspicious, “said an official.
Sheikh allegedly sent RS 5-10 lakh every month to these mosques at Bhuj while Rs 35 Lakh was given to two mosques in Vadodara.
The UK-based businessman sent Rs 60 Crore by Hawala to Sheikh through Dubai.
He also sent Rs 19 Crore in the form of donations.
Some money was sent to Gujarat and the rest was directed to other countries by the Sheikh Bank account.
