Vadodara: Two employees from a construction company kidnapped allegedly by six workers who worked under them, followed the crack over non-payment of wages, from Manjusar GIDC in Savli Taluka from Vadodara on Tuesday.
The six workers were given Nabbed Tuesday night.
Duo – Supervisor of the site Rahul Tahed and Engineer Arka Sheikh, taken to a remote village, around 130 km in Dahoda Dahod.
Tahed and Sheikh work with a construction company that handles the upcoming pharmaceutical unit sites.
Vadodara’s rural police tracked them based on the location of the cellphone and CCTV camera footage along the highway and saved the duo on Tuesday night.
The six were accused of being identified as Madiya Rathod, Nagra Rathod, Nimesh Rathod, Mumesh Rathod, Suresh Rathod and Naresh Vanzara were detained and taken to the Savli police station.
The police said that Tahed and Sheikh were kidnapped on Tuesday afternoon when they came out of the company’s gate in a rental vehicle.
The six workers defeated them and forcibly made them sit in the vehicle.
Meanwhile, Colleaga Duo Amrendra Singh received a call from the sand extracting machine operator not to leave the construction site.
“The engine operator witnessed the two victims were taken away, so he told the third employee.
If he also left the place, he would be taken too,” said a police officer.
After Tahed and Sheikh were kidnapped, Singh approached the Savli police.
The police said that the workers had heated up arguments with Tahed and Sheikh on August 9 paid wage wages.
The workers have asked for their extraordinary and threatening wages that if they are not paid, they will stop working and approach the police.
Instead of approaching the police, the workers took the law in their own hands and kidnapped the two employees, police said.
