Letter: In the tragic incident, a six-year-old boy fell on his death while flying kites on the fifth floor terrace of a housing apartment in Adajan on Thursday.
This is also a victim regarding the first Uttarayan in the city this season.
Tanay Patel who had died, a class I student, shifted to the nearest hospital in Adajan where he gave up in a few minutes during treatment.
Introduction Investigation revealed that he flew the kites with other children on the terrace without adult supervision.
Every year the flying kite festival leaves many people injured, or dies from Manjas Killer or electrically stung while saving the kites stuck in poles and tension cable high or even falling from the terrace when capturing kites.
Tanay survives by parents and sisters.
His father, Hiren Patel, was assistant professor with Navsari Agriculture University and posted on the Ghod Dod Road campus, while his mother was a home maker.
Because he likes flying kites, Tanay goes to the terrace around 6.45 a.m.
with his sister and some other children who are busy with kites and playing games.
The investigation revealed that Tanay went near the barrier and suddenly fell from the terrace.
Hearing the cries of the children, the residents gathered and immediately shifted the boy to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Tanay suffered a serious injury on his head, chest and other body parts which resulted in his death in a few minutes of care.
The police have registered cases of unintentional deaths and began investigating.
