Nagpur: Hudkeshwar Village (Khurd) panicked gripping on the outskirts of Nagpur when residents saw the Bear Sloth on Thursday night.
The housing colony that is rarely occupied wakes up to bark street dogs near Swaraj Nagar at NH-7.
One of the residents, Rahul Rautwar, suspiciously and tried to find out at Torchlight what had happened.
He was surprised to see the Bear Sloth moving in the bushes.
Rautwar immediately sucked a member of the wildlife welfare center (WWC) and people for animals (PFA) that reached the place and also told the Ministry of Forestry.
“Our rescue team reaches a place to learn about the incident but the Bear Sloth is not visible.
It may have been lost from the nearest forest and retreat in the dark.
We monitor the situation,” said Seminary Hills RFO Sarika Admane.
“On the other hand the village of Hudkeshwar (Khurd) is NH7 and the forest area of Matkazari, Kaldongri, Banwadi, Zari, Wadad, Junapani of the range of Umred and Butibori is not far from the place.
The possibility of bears entering the suburbs of this forest area cannot be ruled out,” said Bodhane of PFA and Nitish Bhandakkar swapnil.
