Patna: A 17-year-old boy was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl in a village under the Deariya police station in Muzaffarpur District.
Teens were picked from Deariya Purani Bazaar when he tried to escape.
The little boy’s mother had submitted FIR with the Deoriya police station in connection with the incident on Tuesday.
The boy’s parents were also arrested on Tuesday night from their home while the defendant managed to escape.
Sho of Deoriya Police Station Uday Kumar Singh said the boy’s parents were arrested for helping him and pressing the girl not to approach the police.
The girl was undergoing treatment at Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH) in Muzaffarpur.
Police sources said the girl’s medical examination was carried out on Tuesday.
According to the police, the girl was not in a condition to give her statement.
Sho said the girl was accusing her first that her daughter was taken by a small boy to a remote place in the backyard of their house, where he was raped.
“The incident occurred on January 5 at around 4:30 p.m.
when the girl played alone.
The defendant drove him from home with the pretext of giving chocolate.
When the girl returned home, she narrated her trials to her mother,” Singh said.
He added, “The girl’s family did not approach the police at first because of social stigma or fear of the boy’s family.
When the girl’s condition deteriorated on Monday, she was taken to the hospital.
His mother filed a complaint only after her husband reached Muzaffarpur on Tuesday.”
