Nagpur: This city tends to get its first natural asset map (NAM) with individual tree details throughout the city immediately.
The City City Project, and the International Council for the Local Environmental Initiative (ICLEI) have prepared a three parks, with Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) which tends to do the same for the whole city in the next stage.
Ceo Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited ( NSSCDCL) Buveneswari S said at a press conference on Wednesday that the inauguration of the map of the city natural assets would be carried out on October 3 as part of the relationship of three days’ Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.in with NMC and NSSCDCL, Iclei has begun to prepare for Nam three Gardens – Gardens Maharajbagh animals, Dagi Park and Lendra Park – for the past year under the Biodiversity and Action Plan (LBSAP) strategies.
Iclei has taken free initiatives.
More than 15,000 trees in these three parks have been borne.
Also has displayed boards on all trees that provide information about local names, common names, names and scientific families.
Also, the organization has completed GIS mapping from all trees.
A grip book highlights the various benefits of several special trees, especially drug species, located in three parks, also being prepared by ICLEI.NMC and NSSCDCL will do the same for the whole city considering the experience of the pilot project.
Nam will be more valuable than tree census.
This will help track the number of trees and species located opposite the city.
Also, the action plan will be prepared as part of Nam to improve the greenish city and existing tree conservation.
Leveneswari, an IAS officer, said, “NSSCDCL in relation to NMC and NGOs has also planned to develop kuboid lactation throughout the city.
The first will be developed and inaugurated at Glocal Mall, Sitabuldi, on October 2 as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav ‘This will help breastfeeding mothers feed children when shopping or for other purposes.
