Greater Noida: A 28-year-old engineer traveling in one car was seriously injured after he was allegedly attacked by two men on a bicycle grabbing his cellphone.
Akash Kumar, who was originally from Saharsa Bihar, said that he left his rented accommodation in the Beta I sector in the car at around 8:00 a.m.
on Wednesday to go to the Oppo unit in Kasna, where he worked as a process engineer.
When he arrived at Surajpur-Kasna Road, two attackers on the bike came from the left side.
“Pillion Rider tried to win the Oppo phone that I held in my left hand but I held it,” he said.
When Akash tried to fight, he was dragged out of the vehicle and along the road for about 10 seconds, after that the two men took his cellphone and fled.
Engineers receive 20 stitches in the head and also hurt on the arm.
Currently being treated at Kailash Hospital, Akash claims that he arrived at the facility without the help of the call 112 vehicles that stood less than 10 meters.
“The driver of my car runs away and I have to stop another car.
I asked for help from the police but they didn’t accompany me to the hospital, so I went there alone,” he said.
Akash alleged that some police arrived at the hospital night Wednesday night and hinted that he had to say that he had dropped the phone.
“They did not direct it but wanted me to say it instead.
They asked me at least 10 times whether my cellphone had fallen,” he said.
Akash Chandan’s friend said they told the police to examine CCTV cameras and confirmed that robbery had occurred.
“I told the police that we would only complain about the real incident,” he added.
Beta II Sho Rameshwar Kumar said the police had spoken to victims at the hospital and on the basis of his complaint, a FIR had been submitted under the IPC 392 (robbery) section.
He added that the allegations of engineers about the 112 police reluctance to advance to help were being investigated.
On Thursday, Chowk Chowki Pari police deals were suspended after the investigation.
