Solar power reaches 312 houses in Nagarahole

MySuru: As part of the #Lightthenation initiative launched by the Nonprofit Organization Karmodaya, an electrical connection has been given to 312 houses in Nagarahole long-range hamlets.
It was inaugurated on Wednesday.
The work was completed in partnership with the Organization Organization Hope Bengaluru-based Hope Organization, and the Department of Welfare and Welfare Forests and Tribal Department of Welfare.
Access under the same initiative with a total of 462 houses.
According to NGO officials, during the pilot project, the original settlement of Jenu Kubas (Honey Collector) in Nagarahole forest was chosen for electricity supply.
Under the initiative, each household gets a solar kit consisting of 2 light bulbs, 1 tube light, sockets to charge cellphones, and solar panels with installations, press releases.
