Geneva: The Head of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was all but guaranteed a second term after the procedural vote on Tuesday made it a single nomination for leadership elections in May.
The first African leader of the UN health agency said he was “very grateful for updated support”, after the WHO Executive Board held the voice of the secret ballot in agreed to his nomination as the only candidate for General Position.
