Noida: Police Noida on Thursday claimed to have arrested five gang members involved in imitating candidates in the staff election commission test (SSC) for recruitment in paramilitary forces.
Deputy Commissioner of the Additional Police (Noida) Ranvijay Singh said the gang disguised as a candidate on the SSC exam on Wednesday (GD Constable) held at the center in the Sector 62 below the boundary of the Sector Police Office 58.
“The gang collected Rs 6 lakh to Rs 7 lakh from Candidates to appear in the exam on their behalf and engage in more than a dozen such cases, “Singh told reporters.
Those who were arrested were identified as Lalit Kumar, Anil Kumar, Yashveer Singh, Rohit Kumar and Rakesh Kumar, all the residents of Aligarh, he said, adding to the gang mastermind also recognized but fled.
The main investigation revealed that those arrested, Yashveer was the person who worked as a breaker, emerged on behalf of the actual candidate in the exam using fake documents.
Lalit and Anil worked as a mediator between gangs and candidates, Rohit Forged documents such as acknowledging the card and Rakesh were inches of monetary transactions, the officer said.
The police have confiscated 67 false recognition cards from various tests, some burdensome telephone chats and 12,000 cash from the defendant’s ownership.
Two cars have also been confiscated, police said.
Singh said several monetary transactions, including some of which came from foreign countries such as Singapore and UAE, involving gangs had also been traced.
Gang provides solvers for competitive exams such as SSC GD, recruitment examination of the High Court of Allahabad, Indian coast guards, HSSC, central pilot board, TGT TGT exam, etc.
Police said.
“Gang has been active in several countries including Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh and its members have emerged for competitive examinations for the past three years.
They faked the recognition card from candidates and breakers from the gang to appear in the actual candidate,” Singh said.
A pine has been put forward at the Sector Police Station 58 and further investigation is underway.
The team was formed to track the puppeteer of the gang that fled, the officer said.
