New Delhi: Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu met Rahul Gandhi on Friday night, a day after he held a meeting with AICC manager and said that he would obey the party’s leadership decision on his resignation issue.
Sidhu told reporters that he had shared his concern with Rahul and “everything was resolved”.
Secretary General AICC, Harish was said, “We have told him that his concern would be taken care of.
He convinced Rahul that he had attracted his resignation and he would continue his duties as the President of the State.” Sidhu had previously resigned in Huff who triggered a line and he was called by AICC Secretary General and KC Venugopal for the meeting on Thursday.
Although Sidhu’s public statement expressed trust in Gandhis on Thursday, tensions lingering a day later.
Sources placed well said Sidhu is expected to make a public statement about withdrawing resignation on Friday.
But that doesn’t happen.
Even after meeting Rahul, he didn’t say something about pulling his resignation.
Even now, doubts remain there if there will be stability in the State Congress given the difference between Sidhu and CM Chararjit Channi for the main promises.

Gandhi’s sister, with whom Sidhu was close, had kept the distance from him during the fresh controversy and he had to deal with AICC manager.
