Solvang, California: Expanded Evacuation Orders Tuesday for the growth of fire driven by intense winds that have closed the main southern California highway for more than one day.
At least 200 firefighters struggled against the fire of Alisal, which had scorched 12.5 square miles (31 square kilometers) along Coastal Santa Barbara County and remained completely uncontrollable.
The fire erupted Monday on the ridge and exploded towards the ocean, forcing 101 closure, the only major highway on the coast.
Commands and evacuation warnings are available for several regions in a minor population area.
“The fire caught fire on a solid chaparral and was driven by strong winds and grew at a fast speed, ” The fire update said Tuesday.
Gususan reached 70 mph (113 kph) in several regions, officials said.

At least 20 structures are still threatened, according to the Delta Fire District.
There were no reported injuries, and the cause remained in the investigation.
To the south in San Joaquin District, a man suffered burns and about five houses damaged by fire which competed through Park Mobile Islander, Head of the Lathrop-Manteca Fire Josh Capper to Fox40-TV.
The injured man suffered severe third level burns over most of his body, Capper said.
Strong gusts that swept the country on Monday also rolled the tree and connected dazzling dust clouds.
