MADRID: The new Coronavirus case has reached a tenth daily record in Spain, with a new infection that was confirmed 161,688 which was unprecedented as an Omicron variant that spread rapidly took control.
According to numbers issued by the Spanish Ministry of Health on Thursday was the second day in a row when new cases jumped for 100,000 marks.
The 14-day transmission rate, which informed the response of policy makers to the pandemic, rose to 1,775 new cases per 100,000 population nationally.
It rises from 1,508 the day before.
The North Navarra region records more than twice the national average.

On Thursday, health officials announced that 80% of 60 and the older had received booster shots.
