Peniscola: Firefighters in the coastal city of Spain Peniscola found a teenager’s body at the time on Thursday in the rubble of buildings that collapsed and said they were still looking for missing people.
The Mayor of Peniscola Andres Martinez told Reuters, the boy was around 15 years old and had lived in a three-story building, which collapsed for unknown reasons on Wednesday night in the Spanish East Coast region on the East Coast of Spain.
About 140 firefighters and emergency personnel worked all night on the recovery operation and, around midnight, saving a man who had been buried in the rubble, said the local authorities.
“He was truly trapped by a slab and the wrong maneuver would have a fatal consequence,” said Firefighter Carlos Verchili.
