New Delhi: Om Birla speaker on Thursday praised from members of Lok Sabha for identifying the potential of members and encouraging them to speak on the floor of the house after MP for the first time, known for pioneering the Swadaya group, raised the problem of women’s unemployment.
BJD MP Pramila Bisoyi (73), who only speaks her own language of Odia, raises women’s employment issues following the Covid-19 outbreak.
He said many women who lost their jobs could not get work back and locked up to work at home or their farm while men had been fixated.
He spoke in Odia and his party colleagues Bhartruhari Mahtab shared the core of the problem he lifted during zero hours.
Asked about his educational qualifications, Mahtab said not much but noted that he studied many groups of self.
Lok Sabha’s website said The Aska MP had studied the primary class.
This is Indian democracy, said Birla, noted that he personally urged him to speak at home.
He told him that he only spoke Odia, he said, adding that his secretariat then helped him.
“Now he submits a request to speak at home regularly.
This is Indian democracy,” said the speaker, noted he had provided a job on a large number of women.
Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal rose to praise the chair to identify its potential.
Many other members also hit their table to praise it.
Birla on Thursday also allows all members of women who want to talk during zero hours to improve their problems.
“There is a 33 percent problem reservation (for women).
Therefore today is an opportunity for women members to speak,” he said lightly.
Previously, members of the DMK Kanimozhi raised the reservation problem for women in parliament, noting that this problem had been discussed for a long time but so far.
Birla has taken steps to ensure that MPS maximum increases their problems in each session.
His office said 402 members had so far spoken for six zero spells during the ongoing winter session.
Lok Sabha has a power of 543 members.
