Patna: Head of Bihar Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday reviewing the presentation on several leading projects from the Road Construction Department and asked RCD officials and engineers to accelerate the ongoing and delayed construction work.
Speaking after the RCD presentation at the Hall of CM ‘Sankalp’ at 1, Anney Marg, Nitish said that the state government had taken several major projects for the development of road infrastructure in the state.
Construction work on most projects is underway, while some of them are delayed.
“Road projects that are delayed for various reasons, must be accelerated and everything must be resolved.
All relevant departments must work in the right coordination to complete the project,” Nitish said to officials.
He also asked officials to work based on priority on the components of ‘Sulabh Samparka’ of the program ‘when Nischay Part-2’ to increase road connectivity among various fields and regions of the country.
CM then asks for officials to ensure the maintenance of the right long road, in addition to new development.
Previously, the Secretary of the Additional Head of RCD Pratyaya Amrit made a detailed presentation on several major road projects including the Munger Rail-Cum-Road Bridge project, the Mithapur-Mahuli Highway project and Atal Path-2.
Pratyaya recently made an additional RCD secretary after its predecessor Amrit Lal Meena went on central deputation.
When contacted, Pratyaya on Wednesday told Ti that he made a presentation before CM on the current status of several main road projects before starting his new innings on the RCD.
Previously, Pratyaya had worked as a secretary on the RCD.

RCD Minister Nitin Navin, Chief Secretary of Tripurari Sharan, Commissioner of Development Amir Subhani and several senior government officers also attended the meeting.
