Vadodara / Anand: Vallabh Vidyanagar based Sardar Patel University (SPU) has decided to suspend the former Main Account Officer (CAO) Naresh K Bhatt.

In SPU, account books do not count with audited financial statements.
In the 2014-15 book year, there were two separate discharge entries in a large book account of Rs 29.22 Crore and Rs 8.08 Crore.
This adjustment entry is passed on the account.
This is forwarded to match the audited statement with account books.
During the forensic audit, 5,496 the 2014-15 financial book account was examined.
This adjustment entry was found in 1,649 ledger accounts.
