Vadodara / Anand: Vallabh Vidyanagar based Sardar Patel University (SPU) has decided to suspend the former Main Account Officer (CAO) Naresh K Bhatt.
Also, maybe the first-of-of-the decision taken by educational institutions, the university has decided on the black list of the former Auditor – Chartered Accountant (CA) Kg Patel & Company, Anand – in connection with financial deviations to irregularities of Rs 37.30 Crore.
University syndicate members make a recent decision based on a report submitted by the five member committees led by retired Judge Gujarat High Court Dhiren Karia.
Forensic audit assignments are carried out on the basis of Honor by Shah Sanjeev & Associates, Chartered Accountant and Certified Fraud Examine from Vadodara.
Tii previously reported that the probe panel had embraced the former CAO auditor and the former who was responsible for the great negligence in the dismissal.
“We have also decided to write a letter to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, The Apex Accountancy Body, regarding deviations carried out by former CA recommends the action from the Institute,” said SPU Deputy Chancellor Professor Shirish Kulkarni, who has an investigation based on requests proposed by syndicate members.
While Bhatt, the suspension order that will be issued on Monday will face an investigation department, the university has also decided to form an investigation into the former Registrar Offishiat Dr.
Mohan Patel, who is currently the principle of N S Patel Arts College.
“The 2014-15 financial year account was signed by a university registrant,” said Kulkarni.
Probe reports have ruled out financial fraud or fraud but has demonstrated accounting.
Account books from any organization are calculated by the audited financial statements.
In SPU, account books do not count with audited financial statements.
In the 2014-15 book year, there were two separate discharge entries in a large book account of Rs 29.22 Crore and Rs 8.08 Crore.
This adjustment entry is passed on the account.
This is forwarded to match the audited statement with account books.
During the forensic audit, 5,496 the 2014-15 financial book account was examined.
This adjustment entry was found in 1,649 ledger accounts.
