Mangaluru: St Agnes College is 100 years old, the first female college on the west coast of India as well as the first Catholic female college in the country, will open the door for boys from the next academic year.
Institutions, as well as the first women’s college under private management in the country to complete 100 years of existence, has sent a proposal to Mangalore University for permission to go together.
The same was submitted during the third academic council meeting on Friday.
P s Yadapadithaya, representatives of the university chancellor, said that MU did not have their objections and proposals would be forwarded to the state government to consider.
“The College said that the decision to recognize boys was taken after receiving a positive response from parents, staff, students and alumni,” Yadapithaya said.
Former college principal associates a big step to go together to drop reception.
Reception has been bad for years and most of the chairs, except for a few courses, stay empty.
To maintain and bring changes in the existing system, it is the need for hours to switch.

In fact, the institution with A + NAAC grades began education together in a graduate course 15 years ago.
The University Grant Commission provides status autonomous in 2007-2008.
Mangaluru’s St Aloysius College exclusively for boys acknowledged the collection of his first girl students in 1986 and completed 35 years this year.
