Statement made in Dharam Sansad Not Hindutva, said Head of RSS

Nagpur: Head of RSS Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said several statements made at an event recently titled ‘Dharam Sansad’, who kicked a row, not “Hindu words” and those who followed Hindutva would never agree with them.
He talked about the topic ‘Hindutva and National Integration’ in the lecture series organized by Lokmat Media Group to mark the gold jubilee from the Local Nagpur edition.
“The statement, who comes out of Dharam Sansad is not Hindu words, work or heart.
If sometimes I say something in anger, then it’s not Hindutva.
RSS or those who follow Hindutva don’t believe in this,” he said.
The Head of the RSS seems to refer to Dharam Sansad held at Chhattisgarh recently, where the leader of the Hindu Religion KaliCharan Maharaj allegedly made an insulting statement against Mahatma Gandhi while hosting his killer Nathuram Godse.
The other ‘Dharam Sansad’ was held at Haridwar Uttarakhand in December, where provocative speeches incited violence against Muslims allegedly made by participants.
A FIR has been submitted under the 153A IPC section (promoting hostility between various groups with religious reasons, races, birthplace, residence, language).
Sangh’s head said, “Even Veer Savarkar said that if the Hindu community got United and organized, it would talk about Bhagwad Gita and not about finishing or harming anyone.” Talking about whether the nation is on its way to become ‘Rashtra Hindu’, Bhagwat said, “This is not about creating Hindu Rashtra.
(Is) you receive it or not it (Rashtra Hindu) there.” Bhagwat said the ethos representing our constitution was Hindutva, the same as national integration.
He said the concept of national integration did not need uniformity because “different not separate”.
Sangh doesn’t divide people, but patch the difference, he said, adding, “we go with this hindutva.” Vijay Darda, Chair of the Editorial Board of Locate Media and former Rajya Sabha member, said the foundation of the Nagpur Lokmat edition was placed by Freedom Fighter Jawaharlal Darda in 1971, which has now become a large banyan tree.
The Group will hold several programs up to 2023 to mark the Nagpur edition gold jubilee, he said.
“We have held inter-religious conferences, Rangoli contests, and many other programs as part of the celebration.
The talks of Dr.
Bhagwat are also part of it,” Darda said.
He said RSS as the organization worked not only in the villages, but also at the international level, and consisted of self-depthity (volunteers) consisting of Shakhas companies in their nationalistic beliefs.
They believe whatever they do is national interests, Darda said.
