Vadodara: surrendered to popular demand, the authority of the statue of Unity (Sou) has decided to keep tourist attractions in Kevadia open between October 28 and October 31.
The Sou government had previously decided to keep the statue closed for visitors between October 28 and November 1, considering the National Unity Day celebration on October 31 for Mark Sardar Vallabbhai Patel Birth of 147.
This entry must be closed for the ongoing preparation for Rashthriya Ekta Diawas.
But on Monday, officials announced that Sou would remain open between October 28 and October 31.
PM Narendra Modi is likely to visit Kevadia on October 31 to mark the commemoration of the birth of the first Minister of India’s home.
But given the celebration of Rastriya EKTA diwas, adequate security settings will exist.
