Gurgaon: MCG Board Members will increase the problem of the Civic Agency that spends costs for collecting waste in Faridabad at the next home meeting scheduled for February 18.
MCG pays around RS 2.5 Crore a month for concessional waste holders, for the management of neighboring city waste.
Increasing problems on previous occasions, board members said the Civic body did not take problems with higher authority.
Ashwani Sharma, member of the Ward 19 Board, who submitted this agenda for a home meeting, said, “Why Gurgaon must bear the burden of his neighbor’s district when they can use their own funds for waste management?” “It doesn’t make sense for Gurgaon Municipal Corporation to spend the funds in Faridabad.
Our funds must be used for the development of our city,” said Dharambir, member of the Board of Ward 21.
The council members also demanded that the waste transported from Faridabad to bandhwari must be stopped immediately.
While Gurgaon sends 1,000-1,100 tons of waste every day to bandhwari to be processed, Faridabad transports around 800-1,000 tons.
“Faridabad can also identify landfill sites in their districts.
We have raised this problem before also when we are given a guarantee that this problem will be taken with a boss.
Until now, there is no progress that has been made in this matter,” Sharma said.
The local urban department of the Haryana Department, meanwhile, postponed the tender that floated by the MCG to clean and process the inheritance waste on the TPA Bandhwari website, although the deadline of July 2022 towered on the civilian body to clean 35 lakh tons of inheritance waste from there MCG was formed in 2008 .
MCF is an old company and every corporation must have its own waste management system.
It should not be a burden in one of its neighboring cities.
“When contacted, Commissioner MCF Yashpal Yadav said,” In accordance with our agreement, the main entity is responsible for making payments to concession holders and MCGs is the main entity.
We have identified the site in the Pali Crusher Zone, where the processing unit will be arranged at the end of this year, and only dried waste will go to bandhwari.
