Mysuru: St Somashekar, Mysuru District Minister and Chamarajanagar, on Tuesday said Head of Minister of Basavaraj Bommai had impressed the union government about the need to clean the Mekedatu Dam project, which was in the final stages of permission.
This is only to claim credit to get a project carried out that the leaders of Congress planned in the heart, he said.
Speaking to reporters, he said the state government was serious to implement the project.
“But the leaders of Congress tried to get political mileage by planning to hold a diayatra of Mekedatu,” he said, adding since the project could be a light green immediately and Congress had put time in the project implementation.
He denied that the government tried to impose the kuncian in the state to stop the Congress of the Shyatra.
“It is our duty to protect the public,” he shot again to point to the number of increased Covid cases in Bengaluru.
“We have asked Congress to stop in the heart to ensure that the level of participants remains low.
This is not to stop them from holding in the soyatra,” he said.
