Nagpur: Trapped with more than 5,000 doses of covishield, city private hospitals have initiated free vaccination drive with media groups at 11 centers in 10 cities in the country.
The media group has bought a dose at a rest rate for drives and will mobilize residents in these cities especially for the second dose.
Drive will be held in Dhanson Lawn in Central Avenue in the city on December 17.
The group had run a similar drive before for the first dose.

Private hospitals have received a good response at first but when the supply of the government received downsizing and local agencies began to hold camps in private places, demand at a private hospital slowed.
Dr.
BK Murali, Director of Hope Hospital which is part of the drive, said the media group sponsors the dose.
“We also partnered for this service.
We should vaccinate and provide doctors and nurses.
Two teams have been sent to discuss North Indian cities in the list and one for four Maharashtra cities.
The hospital will also regulate government permits and venues,” he said.
Dr.
Murali added that there are provisions for transferring vaccines using the co-win application.
“We will take local body permission to travel in every city,” he said.
The drive will offer 500 doses for each center.
On Tuesday, the drive was held in Mumbai, where 250 people were inoculated.
Besides Mumbai and Nagpur, the drive will be held in Pune and Nashik.
Delhi, Gurgaon, Lucknow, Gorakhpur and Allahabad are other cities.
Toi spoke with several other hospitals who said they were also looking for possible solutions to prevent the waste of their shares.
“If the government allows a paid booster dose, it might help us reduce losses and utilize valuable vaccine bottles,” they said.
Vidarbha Hospitals Conventor Association Dr.
Anup Marar said, “VALS vaccines are available at a private hospital will reach the expiration date in a few months.
