Mangaluru: AJ Hospital and Research Center has succeeded in carrying out the Whipple Robot operation at a 65-year-old man from Sullia Taluk, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Prashanth Marla K, medical director and hospital transplant surgery, said the patient requires a large operation called Whipple PD, which involves the elimination of several large organs and reconstruction.
The operation was carried out with advanced advanced robots, by a team of doctors, including Dr.
Rohan Shetty’s gastrooncology surgeon and Dr.
Ashwin Alva, supported by an anesthetic experts Dr.
Harish Karanth and Medical Gastroenterologists Dr.
Raghavendra Prasad.
The patient has a very good recovery, and is dismissed within seven days of operation.
