Ahmedabad: The price of fuel once more began to increase in the Ahmedabad market for the past three days.
The price of both gasoline and diesel surged further on Saturday for the third day in a row.
According to data provided by petroleum dealers, gasoline prices reached Rs 98.97 per liter on Saturday with a 24 paise increase against the previous day at Ahmedabad.
On the other hand, the cost of diesel Rs 97.50 per liter, rose 33 Paise at a price of Friday.
This is the third day in a row when gasoline prices increased, supported by the increase in crude oil prices.
The price of fuel has shown a trend of increases since April 15 and the surge continues every two-three days until July 17, from the time the price stagnates.
After August 22, the price of fuel decreased until September 4, when the price was completed at Rs 98.04 for gasoline and Rs 95.49 for Diesel.
However, two weeks later, from September 28 and so on, the price of fuel began to surge again.
Overall, starting April 15 to October 2, gasoline prices increased 13.02% while diesel prices jumped 12.12%.
Even though the price is increasing, it has a little impact on fuel demand.
“Fuel is an important commodity and sure it affects the budget of people but the price surge certainly will not have an impact on the sale of fuel or its request.
In fact, with the celebration season starting next week and so on, demand will increase with the movement of people to the market , to other cities it will increase, “said the petroleum dealer based in the city.
Estimates by the Federation of the Association of Dealers of Petroleum Gujarat (FGPDA), indicate that the average sales of monthly fuel in Gujarat is estimated to be 23 liter crore gasoline and 55 crore liters of diesel.
