Vadodara: Renovated Sursagar, located in the heart of the city, opened to the public on Wednesday.
The renovated lake was officially inaugurated on February 20 last year.
After formal inauguration, the facilities developed around the lake are not open to public use after the Covid-19 pandemic.
The second wave of pandemics that went berserk had gone to the city immediately after the inauguration.
Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) Chairman of the Permanent Committee Dr.
Hitendra Patel said that the lake border has stairs and benches where people can spend time.
Patel said the lake was renovated at the cost of Rs 34 Crore.
“We can’t let people inside after Covid-19.
Now, it will still be open from 6am to 8am and 17:00 to 8pm.
The decision was taken as a Covid-19 case had dropped,” he said.
