Tokyo: Suzuki Motor Corp.
will enter the Electric Vehicle Market (EV) in 2025 starting at the Indian Fortress Market, Nikkei reported on Monday.
Car makers are planning a compact electric model that will be available for around 1.5 million yen ($ 13,626) after government subsidies are taken into account, said Nikkei.
“We have said that we will enter the strong EV and hybrid cars in India in 2025,” Suzuki spokesman said, but added that the company had not announced the price or whether it would launch EV in India first.
