Stockholm: Sweden has extended the pause of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine for people aged 30 years and down due to the side effects related to the rare heart, said the public health agency on Thursday.
The health agency said earlier in October that the data referred to increased myocarditis and pericarditis among young people and young adults vaccinated with modern SpikeVAX vaccines, and were used for all 1991 people were born.
The agency said on Thursday the pause would be extended beyond the original time limit of December 1 and those who had taken the first dose of the Moderna vaccine would be offered a commission vaccine from Pfizer / Biontech.
