Mumbai: From Tuesday, you can take an AC electric bus from City Airport Terminal 2 (T2) to Nariman Point, CSMT, Gateway of India or to the Bandra-Kurla Complex.
The e-bus service was launched by the Minister of Environment of the State of Aaditya Thackeray in Worli on Sunday.
He introduced 60 across AC buses and no riding pollution in the SEA Bandra-World Link.
“These buses will cross the sea link while carrying passengers fr-om airports to South Mumbai every day,” Lokesh Chandra’s best general manager said.
The first route will be from T2 via Western Express Highway, Link Sea Bandra-Worldli, Planetarium Nehru, Haji Ali, PT Paluskar Chowk, Linine Lines, through Trident Hotels, Nariman Point, CSMT and Gateway of India.
The second route will be from T2 to BKC through Western Express Highway, Kalanagar and various bus stops in BKC.
Thackeray said he did not want to compelled the iconic double to be removed, that’s why the best floating tender for 200 Double Electric Decker.
The electric bus obtained in 2022 will be 1,400 Decker AC electricity, 400 MIDI AC, 100 mini AC and 200 electric AC double-deckers.
The best fleet will be 50% electricity in March 2023 and 100% electricity in March 2027.
