Ahmedabad: City again recorded the highest daily Tally Covid at 9,837 in 24 hours on Thursday.
On December 27, the city has recorded 98 cases, thus recording a 100-fold increase in a countd of 25 days, the fastest so far during a pandemic.
In the second wave, it has taken 64 days to reach from 50 to 5,000, more than double the current surge.
On Thursday, Gujarat crossed 10 cases of cumulative covid lakh – reached a landmark in 673 days.

Previously, the fastest was seven days in April-May last year when cases in the state jumped from 5 lakh to 6 lakh.
