Bhubaneswar: Mortal remnants of Pratap Watershed shutter, officers Waran Junior (JWO) India Air Force (IAF), reached Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
He was one of 13 who lost his life in the accident of Chopper Nadu Tamil along with the Head of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawattay on Wednesday.
Chairman of the Minister of Naveen Patnaik paid a flower tribute to the watershed at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar after the arrival of the martyr.
He was given an honorary guard.
Special arrangements are made at the airport to provide the last respect for the watershed.
Naveen extended the deepest condolences to mourning family members.
Many political leaders included ministers, DGP Abhay, senior police officers and others paid a flower tribute to the martyr.
Fana remains are being taken to the original place of the Krishnachandrapur village under the Talcher Police Station in Angul District.
The last rite will be carried out in the village.
Local political leaders, family, friends, and ordinary people from the area reached the village to pay the last respect for the martyr.
Das, 35, has joined IAF 15 years ago.
He was part of the helicopter’s technical crew that hit Tamil Nadu.
He went behind his son and his one-year-old wife beside his parents.
