Coimbatore: V Chandran, a 56-year-old plantation worker, died after he was attacked by a tiger from behind around 11:50 a.m.
in the range of gudalurical forests in nilgiris on Friday.
According to forest officials, workers attached to Devan plantations were very injured behind his head and ears.
After being given first aid in Gudalur GH, he referred to Ooty GH but he died on the road.
The body was handed over to his family after postmortem at Ooty GH.
“50,000 compensation was handed over to his family,” said an official.
