28 deaths took the toll count to 37,837.

“The incident went down and we had fewer people in the hospital.
But many parents, especially those who are not vaccinated and those who have a commorbid condition continue to have a severe form of disease.
They need hospitalization including ICU receipts,” said Minister of Health MA Subramanian.
