Chennai: Power Tata said on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Madras Technology Institute (IIT-M) to collaborate in the field of research and development (R & D), consultation, policy advocacy, and the commercialization of technology and solutions, between other.
As part of the MOU, Tata Power and IIT-M aimed at pursuing further research in the field of future technology and the bond also includes the chances of campus recruitment in a full-time or internship role to the IIT-M graduate students.
This agreement also requires research and consultation-based projects supported by the Industrial Consultation Center and Sponsored Research (IC & SR), IIT-Madras.

In this initiative, Tata Power employees can also register for programs such as M Tech, MS and PhDs offered by IIT-M after securing acceptance through the process.
Tata Power said it could also choose to make grants to support faculty research or to support students about scholarships and scholarships, and explore to work with startup companies collected in IITM incubation cells.
